The story behind Altamira
From the slopes of Piendamó, in the Alto Cauca Valley, comes this Caturra from the El Silencio estate, a family project with more than 50 years of history. Robinson Rivera, its producer, leads an artisanal process that combines traditional practices with modern fermentation methods, focusing on quality and traceability in every micro-batch.
This lot, harvested in May 2024, underwent a 48-hour anaerobic fermentation in cherry pits, followed by a washed mill and outdoor air drying. The result is a coffee with an intense fragrance of ripe fruit, a sweet and juicy flavor, and a balanced structure that makes it a gem for espresso, with a clean cup and a long, elegant finish.
