The story behind Nahualli
Hacienda Montesol is in the Tomayunca district of Jinotega, at about 1,300 metres above sea level. The Rosales Mejía family acquired it in 1998. It had been a cattle farm, and in 1999 they began the coffee project, planting trees and protecting the water sources.
Part of the estate is kept as conserved forest. The coffee is processed on the farm itself, with wet milling in its own facilities and washing without recirculated water.
Nahualli is a washed Caturra, designed for espresso. We roast it at BOSCON for a clean, direct cup.
