The story behind Maua

From the fertile hills of Nyeri in the heart of Kenya comes Maua , a coffee processed at the Gatugi washing station, run by James Nderitu and part of the historic Othaya Farmers Cooperative .

Grown in rich volcanic soils at an altitude of over 1,700 metres, this batch combines the SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 varieties, recognised worldwide for their complex structure and bright acidity.

The Traditional Wash process highlights the clarity and definition of its profile: notes of White Flower, Mango, Orange and Violet shape a floral, juicy and refined cup.

Maua , which means flower in Swahili, represents the essence of Kenyan coffee: aromatic intensity, balance and a natural elegance that is impossible to forget.
